Description:SUMMARY: To manage and coordinate all production, distribution, and shipping activities associated with the facility. Ensure quality control standards are maintained while delivering a superior product to the market place in an efficient, timely, and cost effective manner.


Duties:ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Responsible for all production and distribution for the facility

2. Responsible for Cost of Sales Objectives for the facility

3. Responsible for waste reduction through production efficiencies and streamlining

4. Responsible for inventory control and purchasing for the facility

5. Oversee Departmental training issues

6. Ensure that production deadlines are met

7. Minimize overtime hours

8. Maintain quality control standards

9. Coordinate and chair team meetings

10. Oversee production scheduling

11. Coordinate routine maintenance of equipment with the Production Supervisor

12. Establish housekeeping standards

13. Responsible for End of Month inventory closure procedures

14. Perform Associate evaluations in conjunction with the Production Supervisor and Team Leaders

15. Operate within budgetary guidelines

16. Maintain sufficient inventories to support production requirements

17. Supervise and coordinate the activities of all associates

18. Coordinate and prioritize the scheduling of jobs, ensuring that customer deadlines are achieved

19. Continually examine current distribution and packaging techniques, searching for improvements and cost saving opportunities

20. Ensure that the facility is obtaining the best possible rates and solutions for our express shipping needs


Qualifications:QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

1. Must have a four year college degree in Business, or related subject.

2. Must have at least 2 years of supervisory experience.

3. Must be computer literate with the ability to use word processing and spreadsheet software.


LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

1. Uses hands to finger, handle, or feel over 2/3 of the time daily

2. Ability to lift between 25lbs and 75lbs over 2/3 of the time daily if necessary

3. Requires close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less)

4. Color vision required (ability to identify and distinguish colors)
